Mission Statement

It is the Rotary Club of Buderim’s Mission to be the leading Service Club in Buderim and its environs, with an active and growing membership initiating and managing fundraising and community service support activities.

Our Vision

By the year 2014 the Club will:

  • have a membership of 40 members,
  • have raised over $180,000 over the last 5 years in community – service programs and projects
  • be recognized by the Buderim and Sunshine Coast communities as the leading community Service Club, and
  • be viewed by 9600 Rotary District and RI as a major contributor to its projects and activities.

Community Service

The Community Service Committee takes responsibility for the Club’s major fundraising projects as well as the organization of a number of specific hands-on projects. The major fund raising is usually the Christmas Art Union which can generate approx. $10,000, and many other fund raisers.

Vocational Service

Since Buderim has a fast growing young business and industry community, the Club felt it was very important to focus attention on pride of workmanship and good business practice as well as application of the 4 Way Test.

Youth

Almost since its inception ten years ago, the Rotary Club of Buderim has been a keen supporter of youth within its area, that support, and the results of the ongoing efforts, reached a high level of growth and achievement during the Rotary year 2007-2008.

Youth Exchange

We did not participate in Youth Exchange this last year, but we still look forward to hearing from our previous Exchange Student, Hiroko and enjoyed meeting with her again when she recently re-visited Australia.
