Youth Exchange Program
The objective of the programme is to promote international
understanding. It provides learning and personal development for participating students.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
The objective of this programme is to
give young people personal, leadership and citizenship skills to

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment
RYPEN is a personal development
programme aimed at students aged 14 - 17 years. It consists of a
weekend away, sponsored by the Club, where students participate in a
range of self-development activities. Applicants are nominated by
their school.

National Youth Science Forum
This programme assists Grade 12 students wishing to follow careers in science, engineering and technology by providing an insight into the world of science, establishing valuable contacts in the science industry and universities . The program experience provides participants with personal development . Duration
of the forum is 14 days in January of each year. Applications are
accepted from Year 11 students through their school by mid May ( to attend the forum in the following January i.e. in the students year 12 year).

Siemens Science
Experience
The Siemens Science Experience is
a fun three-days of science activities for students in Year 9 who
will be entering Year 10 the following year. Applications are made
through the student's school in May each year. For further

Rotary Education
Assistance Programme
REAP is a local club initiative to provide financial assistance and mentoring support to students with demonstrated academic potential.
The Club supports student for Year 11 and year 12 subject to satisfactory results. Assistance
is provided by way of reimbursement for text books, uniforms, etc
(up to $600 per year) and mentoring (the club appoints a counsellor to support the student).
Caloundra State High School nominates a prospective Grade 10 student towards the end of Year 10 – Club representatives interview student , parents and school representative. Award announced and presented at end of year school function or at club meeting.
Car Maintenance Course
The course aims to provide young people with basic knowledge and understanding of the mechanical components of a motor vehicle and provide some skills in providing elementary vehicle maintenance. Duration
of the course is 12 weeks commencing in the second half of the year.
The course targets persons 16 to 18 (some older persons also attend).
Applications are made through Caloundra City
Youth Partnership which is designed to maximise the potential of
young people in Caloundra City and the capacity of services to
support them.
