A major disadvantage to using the so called free web sites that abound on the Internet is the fact that they insist on putting intrusive banner advertising onto your club's web pages (often with inappropriate content), often obscuring important information at the time. Many suppliers are in the process of withdrawing the FTP ( File Transfer Protocol ) services to make it difficult to access their websites easily, and continually pestering you to take a paid site with their provider.
After
ten years of servicing
many charitable club websites
, we decided that it would make more sense to purchase a large site on
the Internet with the specific object of offering a service at
a
reasonable fee. To offer clubs and organisations fitting our criteria
the
opportunity to have a web presence
advertising free. This site has full FTP access for
experienced
users, for those without experience who can create their
desired
pages using MS Word or Front Page, we will upload changes and
alterations for no
extra fee up to six times per annum.
Email forwarding is available if
required. or you can have unlimited pop mail service @clubwebsite.net
The address will be both easy to remember as well as advertise. A Rotary Club can choose for example www.clubwebsite.net/xyzrotary Although we strongly recommend the club register a www address see below for details.
What will the cost be ?
Full FTP Access
allowing your experienced club member access
upload facilities is available for only $156
PA.
This service enables your club webmaster to completely control content
and
editing of your clubs hosted web pages.
Space allowance is a large
15MB . Larger
space available on request.
Should you require a www address exclusive to your club we can also arrange the registration process for this and point it to your home page for an additional fee of AU$25 per annum. This means you can advertise your clubs home page as www.clubname.org (clubname being replaced by your chosen name)
Cost includes regular submission to major search engines.
